It was clean and comfortable. It had a mini fridge and a TV with cable which the kids loved because they could watch cartoons. It had a booth like table where you could eat as well. Overall we had a nice stay.
Its a joke the pics are not made there ...it is nothing like the pics....management is rude ....cant get to the lake there nothing to do there have to drive to even get in lake ...prices are way to muchfor the renky dent place ...trust me drive to OXford were you have a pool ....and not far from good eating places ..drive to the lake for the dat then have fun at night in oxford it will be worth the drive ....

Ok so this is the real deal on Lake Wedowee Motel and Cabins as of 9/29/2017. I arrived at the motel around 630 pm, there was no attendant at the counter, problematic? Not at all the fine owner of the lodge Don, told me in an earlier phone conversation to just call the number on the door and he would have someone right up when I arrived. So, I called 2 minutes later BOOM I am checked in. Room 21,groovy this quaint little place only had 22 rooms. It is fashioned after a single row style old schoo lake motel. They still use regular keys here, and you will not be locking it in your room, as it is needed to lock the door when you leave. The room was rustic but awesome , comfy king bed, good ac/heat, clean fridge and microwave, 42 inch samsung tv with direct tv, and some really nice rustic furniture. The bathroom and dressing area was clean, and functional. I mean really are you gona live in the crapper dont judge it, use and get on with your day. I have Verizon cell, my signal was great here and my hotspot ran my computer great. Conclusion: This is not a 5 star Hotel...however this a motel worthy of getting 5 stars for all the right reasons friendly, clean, cozy, and simple at price not found often in America today. I stayed 2 nights for just over 100 bucks, would I do it again? Hell yea I would.
